What is your organization’s mission?
The Homeschool CARE Foundation (HCF) connects, contributes, and counsels families worldwide giving needed support to homeschool successfully. HCF exists to give hope by standing in the gap for families educating at home who need support and services beyond “school”. We desire to see families thrive. Whether a family is in need of financial assistance, resources, or encouragement, HCF is here to help and bring awareness.
are my donations tax-deductible? is hcf a 501(c)3?
Yes; the Homeschool C.A.R.E. Foundation, Inc. (HCF) is a public charity approved for 501(c)(3) exemption in 2018. Our tax ID number is 82-3700059. Our student outreach program, Enlightening The Dark, is a DBA of Homeschool CARE Foundation. HCF is a Tennessee Nonprofit Corporation. Donations are tax-deductible. This statement is not intended to be tax advice. Please check with your accounting professional or the IRS for information regarding tax deductions to 501(c)3 charitable organizations.
Does your organization provide financial assistance or scholarships?
Yes; we recognize that homeschooling families face financial hardship from various experiences, such as natural disaster, health issues, and job loss. HCF wants to reduce financial barriers from a family’s ability to homeschool. Apply for curriculum assistance or a CARE Grant.
The Mason Lerro Memorial Scholarship is awarded annually in March to homeschool families caring for a special needs child, with preference for families in the military. The deadline for application each year is December 16. Apply here.
