Our Special Needs program seeks to provide support to families that have children with exceptional learning needs. Led by Dr. Trudy Abel, HCF provides consulting services, research, curriculum reviews, and teaching strategies related to learning differences, disabilities, and disorders. The Advocate program coordinates a team of experienced homeschoolers to serve as advocates for families needing ongoing support.
Dr. Trudy Abel, Special Needs Program Director for the Homeschool C.A.R.E. Foundation and consultant to our HLA Special Needs Counselors, provides information and resources on specific disabilities and learning disorders on the HLA website.
Homeschool C.A.R.E. Foundation (HCF) was founded by HomeLife Academy (HLA) in 2018 and serves as its charitable arm. HCF is a Tennessee nonprofit corporation and a 501(c)3 charitable organization. Both organizations work closely together to support, guide, and encourage homeschooling students and families around the world.
